Terms of Service

The service
VidWords extracts publicly available caption data from YouTube videos and provides tools to view, export, summarize, and query it. The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.
Acceptable use
- Use the service only for content you are permitted to access, and in compliance with YouTube's Terms of Service and applicable law.
- Don't attempt to circumvent rate limits, credit accounting, or plan restrictions.
- Don't resell raw API access without a written agreement.
Usage balances and plans
Plans include separate monthly Cloud Request and AI Processing Unit allowances. A successful cloud transcript retrieval uses 1 Cloud Request; browser-only extraction uses none. AI work uses the rate shown before use, including summaries, chat, audio transcription and AI Watch. Monthly plan allowances reset each calendar month; purchased top-ups remain available until used. Failed charged jobs are refunded automatically. Plans renew for their selected billing period and can be cancelled anytime; cancellation stops future renewals.
Content
Transcripts belong to their respective rights holders. You are responsible for how you use extracted content.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VidWords is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 12 months.
