VidWords combines transcript text from many public YouTube videos into one reusable dataset. Paste individual links, enter a playlist or channel, or upload a CSV. Inspect the resolved list before spending Cloud Requests, choose a caption language, and download successful results together.
1. Find the videos
Paste URLs one per line, use a playlist link, enter a channel @handle, or upload a CSV containing YouTube links. Resolving the list is free.
2. Review and extract
Check the resolved titles, select your preferred caption language, and start the batch. A successful transcript uses one Cloud Request; failed jobs are refunded.
3. Export the batch
Download a combined TXT file for reading, CSV for spreadsheets and research tools, or JSON with structured transcript data for code and AI workflows.
Built for playlists, channels, research, and automation
Bulk extraction is useful for course playlists, podcast archives, conference channels, customer-research collections, qualitative coding, content repurposing, and retrieval pipelines. The original video order is retained where YouTube provides it, and failed or caption-disabled videos remain visible in the results instead of disappearing silently.

What the extractor can—and cannot—return
VidWords retrieves caption tracks attached to public YouTube videos. Manual captions and YouTube auto-captions are supported in available languages; private, unavailable, age-restricted, or caption-disabled videos may not produce a transcript. VidWords does not claim ownership of video content. Use exported text in line with the creator's rights, YouTube's terms, and the acceptable-use policy.
